WIC One-to-One Education, Consultation and Referral

With funding from the Michigan Maternal and Child Health program, Public Health – Muskegon County is able to provide individual based education and referral services for WIC enrollees. At a client’s request, community education staff meets with a WIC family to discuss and provide proper referral to community resources, helping to meet individual needs. Average consultation time is 15 minutes. All families receive a gift for participating. This service is free to any WIC enrolled family. This program does not replace WIC educational requirements. It is intended to enhance the education and referral process.
