The Social Justice Commission currently has an 8 part action plan that is designed to effectively engage our youth and reduce violent crime. The “Safe Days, Quiet Nights” initiative focuses on keeping our kids off the street, keeping them in school, plugging them into positive activities and enhancing the relationship between our kids and our law enforcement community.
Our efforts this year have been greatly enhanced with a very generous grant of $4000 by the Muskegon County Community Foundation. All funds that are donated are used 100% to pay for kids that have no ability to pay for the programs and positive activities offered to them as a result of this initiative.
