Step 1 is our truancy enforcement program called “Operation Graduation.” Kids and their parents are given a chance to avoid criminal charges by staying in school. For kids and parents that are struggling with attendance, the Social Justice Commission has partnered up with the schools, the Mediation and Restorative Justice Center, DHS, and juvenile court to help kids and parents problem solve and keep their kids in school.
