Muskegon County Department of Public Works offers a free disposal program to Muskegon County residents for unwanted Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) generated in Muskegon County. Please note that Commercial and Industrial HHW is prohibited. The goal of the HHW program is to divert hazardous materials from the landfill in order to protect residents and the environment. Should you possess any of these materials, the HHW program will dispose of them in a safe and responsible manner.
2023 Collection Hours
The second and fourth Friday of each month May through October from 9 AM - 12 PM.
The Household Hazardous Waste Program will hold the scheduled Household Hazardous Waste Collections at 1300 E. Keating Ave, Muskegon. Please note that social distancing is encouraged while unloading.
