Naloxone (commonly called NARCAN®) is a life-saving medication that can reverse an overdose from opioids—including heroin, fentanyl, and prescription opioid medications—when given in time. If you or someone you know is at increased risk for opioid overdose, especially those struggling with opioid use disorder (OUD), you should carry Narcan and keep it at home.
HealthWest offers a Narcan vending machine inside the lobby of their Main Office at 376 E. Apple, Muskegon. The lobby is open Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
Although residents can get Narcan for FREE, getting it into the hands of individuals who are at risk of overdose or their loved ones can be a challenge. HealthWest's vision is that this Narcan vending machine will provide an easy access point to all residents of Muskegon County.
