The Supreme Court issued Administrative Order 2020-08 on July 26, 2021. It amended MCR 2.407 regarding videoconferencing. Pursuant to MCR 2.407, courts shall provide access to the public either during the proceeding or immediately after via access to a video recording of the proceeding, unless the proceeding is closed or access would otherwise be limited by statute or rule. The public has the ability to view all Muskegon County Circuit/Probate/Family Court proceedings live in the Muskegon County Hall of Justice.
If a video recording of the proceeding is requested after the proceeding, members of the public must first pay the cost of $20 per court proceeding, or $20 per day, for any court proceeding that exceeds a day, which can be paid online at https://allpaid.com/plc/5127, or paid in-person by cash, check or money order (payable to Muskegon County), payable at:

After payment, retain the confirmation/receipt #, as it is required on this form as proof of payment. The request will NOT be processed if the payment confirmation/receipt # is not on the request form. Upon completion of payment, this request form can be submitted, which is linked to the email address of the selected Judge’s Judicial Secretary. Depending on the size of the video proceeding, it may be emailed or copied to a DVD or flash drive for mailing or pick-up.
