EXIT, Empowering Ex-Offenders in Transition, provides men returning to their community from incarceration at the Muskegon County Jail with intense job and life skills training, education and work experience.
By engaging local government, education, court officials, law enforcement, institutions of faith, health/human services and businesses to establish a collaborative system of programs, services and supports; EXIT works to restore incarcerated men to self-sufficiency and purposeful living. This will provide participants with the priceless opportunity to establish/restore healthy relationships with their families, neighbors and society
EXIT proudly partners with Muskegon Community College, READ Muskegon, Muskegon County Sheriff's Office, Goodwill Industries of West Michigan, Muskegon Family Court, Public Health and many more!
EXIT was originally established in 2014 with a grant from the Department of Labor, Employment and Training and is now funded by the Michigan Department of Corrections. Beginning in October 2017, Mediation & Restorative Services became the administrative agent providing fiscal management and oversight to this multi-agency collaborative.
