Exposure to Korea & Cold War Injuries

Veterans who have been treated for residuals of Cold War Injuries such as Frostbite or Immersion Foot (non-freezing cold injury) could be entitled to VA Disability Compensation.

Conditions Associated with Cold War Injuries

  • Abnormal Skin Color or Thickness
  • Breakdown on Ulceration of Cold Injury Scars
  • Chronic Fungus Infection of the Feet
  • Cold Sensitivity
  • Chronic Pain of the Causalgia Type
  • Disturbances of Nail Growth
  • Edema
  • Hyperhidrosis
  • Joint Pain or Stiffness
  • Night Pain
  • Numbness
  • Paresthesias
  • Raynaud’s Phenomenon
  • Weak or Fallen Arches
  • Weakness of hands or Feet
  • Vascular Insufficiency (indicated by edema, shiny atrophic skin, or hair loss)
