Exposure to Korea & Cold War Injuries
Veterans who have been treated for residuals of Cold War Injuries such as Frostbite or Immersion Foot (non-freezing cold injury) could be entitled to VA Disability Compensation.
Conditions Associated with Cold War Injuries
- Abnormal Skin Color or Thickness
- Breakdown on Ulceration of Cold Injury Scars
- Chronic Fungus Infection of the Feet
- Cold Sensitivity
- Chronic Pain of the Causalgia Type
- Disturbances of Nail Growth
- Edema
- Hyperhidrosis
- Joint Pain or Stiffness
- Night Pain
- Numbness
- Paresthesias
- Raynaud’s Phenomenon
- Weak or Fallen Arches
- Weakness of hands or Feet
- Vascular Insufficiency (indicated by edema, shiny atrophic skin, or hair loss)
