It may take a few days after your first court appearance to hear back, so we may not be able to discuss your case in detail right away. If you are involved in an abuse and neglect case, or you are a juvenile charged with a crime you should call our Family Court Division at (231) 724-6472.

Q: When is my next court date?
A: Call (231) 724-6585 for criminal adult cases or (231) 724-6472 for family cases. A legal secretary will help provide you with your upcoming court dates. You may also view you court case at MiCOURT online.

Q: What do I do if I miss my court date?
A: Call (231) 724-6585 for criminal adult cases or (231) 724-6472 for family cases immediately. We will help you through the process of obtaining a new court date. In addition, if you know there is a warrant our for your arrest, go to the criminal case window at the Hall of Justice (903 Terrace....) as soon as possible and they will help you further.

Q: What if I cannot attend my court date?
A: Please inform us as soon as possible. Call (231) 724-6585 for criminal adult cases or (231) 724-6472 for family cases. We will walk you through the next steps. 

Q: What can I do to help my case?
A: Remain in contact with your attorney. Do not share case information on any social media site or with anyone accept your attorney. Please make sure your attorney has your most current contact information.
